Hotel Lago di Como is on one of the winding streets that lead down to the promenade in the traditional village of Colico. This is the last village on the northeastern branch of Lake Como—"the most spectacular of the three major lakes

The hotel is under five minutes' walk from the lakefront, the main swimming beach, and the train station. There is a restaurant, a courtyard garden, and free Wi-Fi. You'll enjoy breakfast and evening meals on the house.

Plenty of hiking and cycling trails start from Colico village. There are also lots of cosy wine bars and restaurants, often with live music, especially in summer. Historic villages like Varenna and Bellagio are under an hour away by ferry, and the terminal is a short stroll from the hotel.
